Hypatia of Alexandria (c. 350/370 – 415) was a Greek mathematician, philosopher, astronomer and inventor.

Originally born in Greece, Hypatia moved to Alexandria and became the head of the Neoplatonism School of Alexandria. As a teacher and philosopher, she was highly respected by her fellow Alexandrians.[1]

Notes[edit | edit source]

  1. While Wikipedia listed Hypatia's birthplace as Alexandria, the Discovery Tour mode listed Hypatia as being born in Greece.
