Altar of Apollo

The Altar of Apollo was an altar in Pharmakeia Bay on the island of Kos, Greece. Situated near the edge of the Highlands of Asklepiades, this altar was build for the Greek god Apollo and featured a statue of him battling the Python.

During the Peloponnesian War, the altar was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
