Grande-Entrée

Grande-Entrée is one of eight islands comprising the Magdalen Islands, a small archipelago located in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence.

During the 18th century, the region was part of a single, larger landmass with rather mountaineous terrain, which was primarily inhabited by beavers and Canadian lynxes. However, the presence of a cave painting indicated the Iroquois had at one point lived there. During the Seven Years' War, the Templar Shay Cormac explored the region.
