Geryon was the Giant son of Chrysaor and Callirrhoe living in Erytheia in Greek mythology.
Description[edit | edit source]
According to Greek mythology, Geryon had one body with three heads and three sets of legs.[1]
Biography[edit | edit source]
Geryon was the master of a large herd of cattle, and had the two-headed dog Orthos and the herdsman Eurytion guarding them. King Eurystheas of Mycenae tasked his cousin Herakles to obtain Geryon's cattle as the tenth task during Herakles' twelve years of servitude. By first killing Orthos and Eurytion, Herakles slew Geryon with a poison arrow which struck the middle of the Giant's three heads.[1]
