Fukue Island (福江島, Fukue-jima) is the largest and southernmost of the Gotō Islands in southern Japan.[1] In 1543, one of Wang Zhi's pirate ships prepared to return to China while hosting an expedition of Portuguese Templars and transporting crates of matchlock arquebuses.[2]
