Fort Washington was a military fort built in New York City during the American Revolutionary War.[1] Originally constructed by the Continental Army on the site of the previous Fort Arsenal,[2] it was later captured by the British Army during the Battle of Fort Washington in 1776, and remained a British stronghold until its re-capture by the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton.[1]
