Fleet Street is a street in London, England, running from the boundary between City of London and Westminster to Ludgate Circus.[1] It houses Temple Church and was also the site of both Mrs. Salmon's Waxworks[2] as well as a printing company belonging to Arthur Weaversbrook's father.[3]

History[edit | edit source]

In 1714, the British Assassins' Mentor Phillip Randall arranged a meeting with the Master Assassin Duncan Walpole outside of Mrs. Salmon's Waxworks to discuss a mission involving the appearance of a new Sage in the Caribbean.[2] Forty years later, after assassinating Miko on 18 April 1754 at the Royal Opera House, the British Templar Haytham Kenway took a coach to a Templar hideout on Fleet Street.[4]

In 1868, the Whitechapel area near Fleet Street had a number of disappearances. George, a deliveryman, questioned the sources of the manure, meat, and leather he delivered to the florist Stephen Bean, the baker Moffat, and the leatherworker Tobias Jeffers, respectively, all of whom worked on Fleet Street. With growing suspicions, he tipped off the Metropolitan Police Service Detective Murphy, whose investigation soon aroused Tobias' anxiety.[5]

Fearing the detective was coming too close to learning that he was behind the disappearances, Tobias killed Murphy, flayed his corpse and made a handbag out of the skin, ground the bones into manure, and sold the corpse flesh to the bakery. He then murdered George for bringing the police to the region but was unable to dispose of the body before he was apprehended through the efforts of the British Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye.[5]
