Epizelos, better known as Eppie, was a Greek man who lived in Boeotia, Greece during the 5th century BCE.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Struck with a keen interest in the past of the world, specifically Mycenaean era of Greek history, Eppie was an avid explorer of ruins and old things. However, he was not a hunter, nor a fighter, and after wolves attacked him near the ruins of Temple of Athena Itonia, he was saved by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.
Eppie's interest in the past intrigued the mercenary as well, and he requested she help him solve a tablet which belonged to the Mycenaean civilization.[1] Together, they discovered a tomb within the Cave of the Oracle, as well as a rusty set of armor.[2][3][4][5]
Ultimately, Eppie believed he had figured out the ritual the tablet and the tomb referenced, but despite believing he got it right, he saw nothing.[6]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
