Dubai is a city located in the United Arab Emirates. In the late 20th century, it was home to an Assassin facility, which acted as the residence of the Order's leader, "the Mentor".[1]
In November 2000, after a two-year search, the Assassin Daniel Cross was finally brought to the Mentor's facility in Dubai. There, the neurological impulse in Daniel's brain, inserted during his youth by the Templar-owned organization Abstergo Industries, forced Daniel to kill the Mentor with the man's own Hidden Blade.[1]
Confused and terrified by his own actions, Daniel escaped the facility by performing a Leap of Faith through the glass window, and into the gulf below. As Daniel made his way back to the United States, the Assassins discovered his betrayal and murder of their Mentor.[1]
