Daphne was born in Cyprus and trained at Oxford University and LAMDA. She came to prominence quickly, playing nurse Nadia Talianos on the BBC's long-running medical drama 'Casualty'. After this, she worked internationally, including roles in Roman Polanski's 'The Ghost Writer', Osunsanmi's 'The Fourth Kind', HBO's 'House of Saddam'. More recently she played the lead role in the Iraqi independent film 'Mesocafé'. She also played the role of Stella in 'The Palace', inspired by the Turkish invasion of Cyprus. The film received an Audience Award at Adelaide Film Festival, Best Short Film at Sydney Film Festival and Best Short Film at the Melbourne Film Festival.

Daphne Alexander (born Daphne Chrysostomides) is a Cypriot-British actress who voices the hetaera Anthousa in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey.

Daphne was born in Cyprus, living later in both Paris, France and London, England. She studied Law at Somerville College, Oxford before training to be an actress at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. After graduating she rose to prominence playing Nurse Talianos on the BBC medical drama Casualty in 2007.[1]

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey[edit | edit source]

Daphne Alexander voices the Greek hetaera Anthousa and several civilians in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, released 5 October 2018.[2] Daphne was selected by Ubisoft because of her Greek heritage and Ubisoft's desire to cast ethnic Greeks and native speakers.[3]
