Chad the Bewilderer was an Anglo-Saxon man from Essexe, England who lived in the 9th century.

In the 870s, Chad found himself a home in Essexe and started to create numerous riddles for any visitors that would come across his home. One day, Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan came and found Chad outside his house near Walhdenu Altar. There, Chad challenged Eivor to answer three of his riddles correctly. Eivor answered all of his questions successfully, so Chad thanked her for solving his riddles.[1]
