The Ceremonial Khopesh was a khopesh originating from Egypt. Its hilt featured a golden serpent that wound its way down the blade, symbolizing rebirth.
During the Peloponnesian War, the blade was used in combat, despite its name. Subsequently, it was also a common sight in the inventories of blacksmiths.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The Ceremonial Khopesh, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the model with a number of similar weapons in the same game, including Heitor's Harpe and the Sword of Avaris. These are all the recycled model of Aruna, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins.
