Bodilsburg Garrison

The Bodilsburg Garrison was a military garrison in Lunden, England. It was built by Bodil Bodilsson, the jarl of Lunden during the Viking occupation of the city in the late 9th century.

History[edit | edit source]

In 873, the nun and Order of the Ancients member Frideswid used the garrison as one of her bases of operations, hiring the garrison's blacksmith Oija to supply her with tools for her experiments on human corpses. Later on, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir travelled to the garrison after tracking down a man during her search for a missing girl named Regna. Eivor sneaked into the blacksmith's hut, where she confronted Oija over his dealings, and eventually learned that Frideswid, who operated under the moniker of "The Leech", was the target she was looking for.[1]

Some time after these events, Eivor returned to the garrison and recovered a Blacksmith's Hammer from the top floor of a ruined building.[2]
