The Black Cross is a unique rank, only attainable by the Templar Order's most elite members. They answer solely to the Inner Sanctum and enjoy unique independence in how they conduct their affairs.
They have two primary functions: the first is to locate precursor locations and artifacts while the second is to act as the Order's inquisitors and enforcers, protecting it against internal corruption and betrayal by any means necessary.
