Bandit Sword

The Bandit Sword was a sword commonly used in Greece during the 5th century BCE.

Though largely utilized by various bandits throughout the Greek world, the blade's simple, easy design meant others were also fond of it, including Barnabas, the captain of the ship Adrestia during the Peloponnesian War.[1]

It's so rusty, you can be sure this sword has changed bandit hands many times over.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The Bandit Sword, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the same model as a number of other similar weapons in the same game, and seems to be the default blade used whenever a non-unique sword model is called for. These are all the recycled model of Bronze Sword, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins, and as such, it is based mainly on the Achaemenid bronze sword from Hebron and has a typical Akinakes pommel.[2]

The Bandit Sword can also be seen in various cutscenes, whether wielded by Darius upon meeting the Spartan Eagle Bearing misthios, or by Persians.[3]
