Badaraya Sands

The Badaraya Sands was an area of the Arabian Desert located west of the city of Baghdad. During the Abbasid period, the area was largely uninhabited except for an Abandoned Caravanserai and a campsite where bandits have made their home.[1] In the 860s, the Hidden One Basim ibn Ishaq travelled to the Badaraya Sands Camp to locate a scholar who had been kidnapped by bandits.[2]
