Sir John Spencer Login (1809 – 1863) was a Scottish surgeon and the guardian of Maharaja Duleep Singh.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Following the arrest of Duleep's mother, the Maharani Jind Kaur, after the First Anglo-Sikh War, the ten-year-old Maharaja was placed in the care of Login and, five years later, they were sent to England in exile. In 1861, Login helped Duleep and his mother meet after numerous attempts to contact her were intercepted.[1]
