Saint Francis Borgia (1510 – 1572) was a Spanish Jesuit priest. As the great-grandson of both Rodrigo Borgia and King Ferdinand II of Aragon, he served in his second cousin King Charles I's court and was made Duke of Gandía and a Grandee of Spain. After his wife Leonor de Castro Mello y Meneses died of illness, Francis renounced his titles and joined the priesthood, where he later became the third Superior General of the Society of Jesus.[1]

In 2012, the Assassin Clay Kaczmarek collected details on Borgia's life while Abstergo Industries held him captive at their Animus Project laboratory in Rome. He then hid the information within the Animus 1.28 in Glyph puzzles for his successor, Desmond Miles, to find.[2] Sometime in early September,[3] Desmond solved the puzzle set titled "Keep On Seeking, And You Will Find", in which Borgia was excluded from a list of historic individuals who possessed a Shroud of Eden.[2]
