A view of the Oikos of the Olympians

The Oikos of the Olympians was a small market in the town of Kirrha in Phokis, Greece.

History[edit | edit source]

The market was run by the merchant Sargon, who specialized in selling rare and unique equipment uncommonly found across Greece in exchange for orichalcum. The misthios Kassandra collected orichalcum and exchanged it with Sargon for his merchandise.[1] There was also an artisan blacksmith who lent his services to repair a broken sword by smelting the Image of the Ancients that Kassandra had collected.[2]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Οἶκος (oîkos) is a Greek word which can be translated as 'house, home'. The name of the market references Olympians, but whether the gods or the athletes is unknown.
