In 1582, the [[Japanese Brotherhood of Assassins|Kakushiba ''ikki'']] member and ''[[ninja|shinobi]]'' [[Fujibayashi Naoe]] met with [[Junjiro]], who traveled to the town to taste its infamous soy sauce. However, Junjiro also wanted help to make the perfect soup for his former mentor [[Sorin]], who was on his pilgrimage through Kii. He asked Naoe for ingredients that coincided with the sea and the meaning of "green". Venturing further into town, Naoe found a local [[merchant]] and bought the ingredients spring onion and konbu.
