==Description==
The disciple wakes up to see that their [[Jade Spring|village]] is being attacked by a group of soldiers.

==Dialogue==
''Woken up by screams, you rush out of your house to see Jade Spring Village burning at the hands of [[Qin dynasty|Qin]] soldiers in purple uniforms. You rush forward, looking for [[Chu Huan]] and hoping to save whoever you can.''

The ''[[youxia]]'' witnessed one of the soldiers interrogating one of the [[Civilian|villagers]] before executing him.
*'''Villager 1:''' ''Please... no more... please... I don't know anything...''
The student assassinated the soldiers and fought their way through the village, spying on more violent interrogations along the way.
*'''Qin Soldier 1:''' ''Tell us where the [[Protective talisman|treasure]] is!''

*'''Qin Soldier 2:''' ''Where have you hidden the treasure? You can't hide it forever!''

The student pondered to leave the village but then turned back.

The disciple continued with their search for survivors.

The student entered Chu Huan's house, finding its back exit blocked by a piece of furniture.

She moved it out of the way and proceeded into one of the village's squares, where they saw a soldier finishing [[Ji Wei]] off.
*'''Qin Soldier 3:''' ''I expected more of a fight. Where are the ''youxia'' who protect this village?''
The soldier approached his comrades near a fire, close to several imprisoned civilians. The ''youxia'' killed the three of them, with the villagers fleeing afterwards.

[[Wei Yu]]'s disciple then approached Yu Ying's house.
*'''Wei Yu's disciple:''' ''That's her house. I hope I'm not too late.<br />I need to get rid of these soldiers.''
Among the others, the student found a guard, equipped with both a [[sword]] and a [[shield]], attempting barge into the house.

The student killed all the soldiers surrounding the house and then requested the survivors inside to open the door to them, finding Yu Ying tending to one of the injured.

*'''Wei Yu's disciple:''' ''Get the rest to safety. We'll reconvene at your safe house. Leave Chu Huan to me.''
They broke the latch of the house's back exit and left for the village's main temple, finding Chu Huan embroiled in a skirmish with the purple soldiers on the courtyard. The two fought and killed the group of guards.
*'''Chu Huan:''' ''You made it. These Qin soldiers seem to be after something in the warehouse.''

The pair entered the warehouse and inspected its contents, with the disciple checking the shelf where they had stored the treasure [[Homecoming (Jade)|earlier]].

They then followed their friend through a staircase to the inferior level, which led to a tunnel.
*'''Wei Yu's disciple:''' ''I've never seen Qin soldiers in purple before.''
*'''Chu Huan:''' ''A new military [[Department of Immortality|department]] perhaps. We'll figure out who sent them when we're safe.''

The tunnel led into a large room. The siblings passed through a crack in one of the walls to reach a cave.

*'''Wei Yu's disciple:''' ''She's bringing the rest to safety. We agreed to meet at her safe house.''
*'''Chu Huan:''' ''That place won't remain safe for long... We'll have to find another location when we regroup.''
The two leave the cave by stepping through a waterfall.

''As you step through the waterfall, the [[Yang Duanhe|enemy commander]] descends upon you, blade drawn. Chu Huan throws you aside and gets impaled in your stead. Numerous purple-clad Qin soldiers appear around you, forcing you to run, leaving the lifeless eyes of your sworn brother behind and the face of his murderer burned into your memory.''

==Outcome==
Jade Village was assaulted by an army of Qin soldiers, in search of the treasure stolen by the disciple and Chu Huan. The invasion ultimately ended with the disciple witnessing their brother's murder at the hands of the soldiers' commander.
