==Biography==
Son of [[Takahashi Inoshichi]], Taro and his siblings [[Takahashi Jiro|Jiro]], [[Takahashi Shiro|Shiro]], [[Takahashi Ichi-Hime|Ichi-Hime]], and [[Takahashi Saburo|Saburo]] were extensively trained by their father after their mother's passing, except for [[Takahashi Goro|Goro]]. Taro compared himself to his father and saw himself as the true leader of the clan. Under his father's orders, he, Shiro, Jiro, and Saburo exerted their power and abused the trust of Kyoto's locals.<ref name="Twisted Tree">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]]'' – [[The Twisted Tree (memory)|The Twisted Tree]]</ref> 

By 1582, Taro still saw his destiny as leader, but saw that he still needed to practice to be as cruel as his father. He also berated Goro and Ichi-Hime, upon finding about their desire to leave the family and its legacy behind.<ref name="Twisted Tree"/>

Fortunately, his family's actions drew the ire of [[Ujimasa]], an ally of former Ise clan leader [[Ise Sadatame]], who met with Sadatame's allies, the [[Japanese Brotherhood of Assassins|Kakushiba ''ikki'']] members [[Fujibayashi Naoe]] and [[Yasuke]], about taking the Takahashi clan down.<ref name="Inside Help">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]]'' – [[Inside Help]]</ref> Using this information, the Kakushiba ''ikki'' members tracked Taro training at the [[Asukai Clan Domain]]. Ultimately, Taro was ultimately killed by Naoe and Yasuke.<ref name="Twisted Tree"/>

==Personality and traits==
Takahashi Taro was a distrustful, sadistic, and fickle samurai, who carried a [[katana]] as his main weapon. In his youth, he bullied his brother Jiro, which led his brother to become more monstrous than anticipated. Unlike some of his fellow samurai brothers, he did not wear any armor.<ref name="Twisted Tree"/>

==Behind the scenes==
Depending on the player's choice and recovering all of the clues, if Takahashi Inoshichi is killed first, Taro will join Jiro, Shiro, and Saburo at the garden to avenge their father. Meanwhile, Goro and Ichi-Hime are indefinitely spared. Thus, Taro may be killed at the Asukai Clan Domain or at the secret garden.
