In 1747, Salah and his fellow Assassins attacked Nāder Shāh. Although the Shāh was able to kill two of Salah's brothers, Salah was able to assassinate him with a [[Swords|sword]]. However, the [[Koh-i-Noor]] in the Shāh's possession was discovered to have ended up in the hands of [[Ahmad Shāh Durrānī]], an Afghan chief. Salah thus planned to pursue him in order to acquire the [[Pieces of Eden|Piece of Eden]].<ref name="War Letters" />

Following the assassination of Nāder Shāh, Salah wrote a letter to [[Achilles Davenport]], the [[Mentor]] of the [[Colonial Brotherhood of Assassins|Colonial Brotherhood]], detailing the events. Although he expressed that he was glad to have allies in his Brotherhood, Salah also mentioned that he regretted not having the time to be better acquainted with Achilles and his cause.<ref name="War Letters" />
