In 1582, the [[Japanese Brotherhood of Assassins|Kakushiba ''ikki'']] member and ''[[ninja|shinobi]]'' [[Fujibayashi Naoe]] arrived at the spot after learning of the location of [[Genzaburo]]'s scout [[Shin-no-suke]] from [[Koshiro]], former soldier of Genzaburo and Naoe's ally, who survived an ambush from Genzaburo's unit. There, Naoe traced a line of dead bodies and [[samurai]] to Shin-no-suke who was playing his flute.
