Compiled from recordings collected from [[Subject 1]],<ref name="AC4">''[[Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag]]''</ref> the game presents a heavily distorted view of Aveline's life, as it portrays positively her false defection from the [[Assassins]] to the [[Templars]]; in response to this, the hacking collective known as [[Erudito]] actively worked to re-introduce the truth into the game, allowing the player to view the full extent of Aveline's genetic memories.<ref name="ACL"/>

Despite Erudito's actions, ''Liberation'' was considered such a success that it prompted [[Abstergo Industries]] to expand their entertainment branch to [[Montreal]] and hire research analysts for their next [[Sample 17 Project|project]].<ref name="ACI">''[[Assassin's Creed: Initiates]]''</ref>
