A '''kilij''' is a [[Turkey|Turkish]] [[scimitar]] that saw ample use in the 15th and 16th centuries. The kilij's blade distinguishes itself from other regional variants of the scimitar by having a very slight curve starting from the hilt that then flares out abruptly towards the tip of the weapon.
