The '''estate''' of the wealthy [[merchant]] [[Ali Baba]] was located in the [[Karkh]] district of [[Baghdad]], north of the [[Monastery of the Virgins]], where Ali and his daughter [[Muhja]] lived during the 860s.

Following Ali Baba's death,<ref name="A Dance with Thieves">''[[Assassin's Creed: Mirage]]'' – ''[[The Forty Thieves]] – [[A Dance with Thieves]]</ref> his funeral was held at the estate, attended by his family, relatives and friends including the [[Hidden One]] [[Basim Ibn Ishaq]]. Seeking to prevent the secret behind their [[Forty Thieves Hideout|hideout]] from being exposed, the [[Forty Thieves]] sent a group of men to the estate, intending to eliminate Ali Baba's daughter [[Murjana]]. Before this operation, they had one of their spies mark the house which Murjana lived in, although this was discovered by Basim.
