'''Guilhem Lemarié''' (died c. 1794) was a [[France|French]] jeweler in the city of [[Saint-Denis]], when it was briefly known as Franciade during the late 18th century.

Around 1794, Guilhem embarked on a search for the [[Rose Scepter]] which held by the former Queens of France, the last being [[Marie de' Medici]] before it disappeared. Believing it to be buried with the former Queen's tomb in the [[Basilica of Saint-Denis]]'s Royal Crypt district, he created a prototype for a key to unlock the Queen's sarcophagus.<ref name="ACU">''[[Assassin's Creed: Unity]]'' – ''[[Dead Kings]]'' – [[The Unopened Rose]]</ref>

Before he could use the key, made in the image of a sculpted human bone, Guilhem was captured by a band of [[raider]]s who sought the Rose Scepter as well. The raiders held him in a cage in the [[Catacombs of Paris|catacombs]] beneath the city, where he was later killed. Eventually, Guilhem's body was found by the [[Parisian Brotherhood of Assassins|French Assassin]] [[Arno Dorian]], who slaughtered the raiders and recovered the key from his body, allowing him to claim the Rose Scepter away from the raiders.<ref name="ACU" />
