'''Ahmad ibn Fadlan''' was a 10th century [[Arabia|Arab]] [[scholar]] and traveller, who gained famed for his account of his travels as a member of an embassy of the [[Abbasid Caliphate]] during the reign of {{Wiki|al-Muqtadir}}, to the to the king of the {{Wiki|Volga Bulgars}}.
