In 1952, the foundation's head Rosenburg was hired by Abstergo to observe [[Linus Pauling]]'s work on DNA structure research and report his findings to the Director of Abstergo Chemical.<ref name="ACI">''[[Assassin's Creed: Initiates]]'' – The Rosenburg Letters, I of VII</ref> In the winter of that year, he sent unpermitted proof of [[Rosalind Franklin]]'s x-ray images of DNA structured as a double-helix.<ref name="ACI 2">''Assassin's Creed: Initiates'' – The Rosenburg Letters, II of VII</ref> By 1962, the foundation was repurposed to mainly focus on the double-helix DNA by the Director of Abstergo Chemical, which itself became [[Abstergo Medical|Abstergo Pharmaceuticals]].
