''It's been years since you first met in the hallways of the Brotherhood headquarters. Since then, each of you had their share of heroic actions and fierce battles against the Templars.<br><br>The time has come to set off on a new mission, a mission that only extremely loyal and experienced Assassins can lead.<br><br>Months ago, the Brotherhood received disturbing reports of a former Assassin turned renegade nicknamed Colubra. The latter is hidden deep in the jungles of  the Khmer kingdom of Cambodia where she has led a group of warriors and seem to sow terror among the local populations. Very worrying rumors are circulating: Colubra is said to possess an Apple of Eden, an extremely powerful artifact that the Templars are actively seeking. It would be a disaster if this artifact fell into their hands. Not to mention the fact that this group is giving the Brotherhood a very bad reputation...<br><br>A group of less experienced Assassins has been sent to investigate, but they haven't been heard from in months and the Brotherhood is not optimistic about their fate... This is why they have put you in charge of the critical mission to find the Assassins who preceded you, to put an end to Colubra's actions in the most discreet way possible and to recover any artifacts the renegade may possess.<br><br>You will not be alone on this journey: Shao Jun, a brilliant Assassin was on her way back to China has agreed to help you make your way through the jungle of the Khmer Empire.<br><br>Good luck and remember: Nothing is true, everything is permitted!''

''Your first contact with the region was as harsh as you imagined. Testing weeks on a merchant ship, total isolation in a country where almost nothing reminds you of Italy, the heat, the humidity... Fortunately, some of you have sea legs. After weeks of sailing on the Mother of All Rivers, the Tônlé Mekôngk, as the people you meet call it, you begin to appreciate the wonders of the Khmer Empire. Traces of its glorious past emerge at the surprising bends of the river: Majestic temples, grandiose vegetation and incredible life forms!<br><br>It is in a small village in the heart of the jungle that you are supoosed to meet Shao Jun, the Assassin who will accompany you on your journey. As you approach to the meeting point, you hear the clash of weapons in the distance. Some villagers are battling a group of warrior who seem very well organized.<br><br>They have cornered the villagers and two of them are preparing to enter a small stone building.<br><br>At the other end of the village, you see a few women gathered around a sick bed. The livid woman lying there seems to be Shao Jun.<br><br>Once at her bedside, you understand that she has been poisoned and that she needs an antidote as soon as possible to survive. The women let you know that their antidote reserves are located in the threatened building. Don't let the attackers take it, otherwise Shao Jun will be in serious danger!''
