'''Hosokawa Tadaoki''' ((細川忠興, c. 1563 - 1646)  was a [[Japan]]ese [[daimyō]] and [[samurai]] of the {{Wiki|Hosokawa clan}}. He was the son of [[Hosokawa Fujitaka]], the husband of [[Hosokawa Tama]] and served under [[Oda Nobunaga]] during the late [[Sengoku period]].

==Biography==
Born in 28 November 1563, Hosokawa Tadaoki was the son of [[Hosokawa Fujitaka]] and {{Wiki|Numata Jakō}}.<ref name="Wiki"/> By the age of 15, he was married to [[Hosokawa Tama|Akechi Tama]], daughter of [[Akechi Mitsuhide]], at [[Shōryūji]], where they spent their honeymoon for the next four years. When [[Oda Nobunaga]] was betrayed and died during the [[Honnō-ji incident]], Tadaoki refused the company of his wife due to Mitsuhide's cultivation of the attack.
