It is a rallying cry for the downthrodden, be they colonists, natives or Assassin to "Rise up". Though the video depicts the colonists as the downthrodden and the British as the oppressors. It shows individuals from a variety of lives and scenarios that stand up in defiance against the tyranny that puts them down.
