Well I'm getting both, so there you go.
But to answer your question, I'd probably go with the AC3 merchandise. Some of it expands upon the narrative a little (Washington's notebook), while the Dishonored DLC are bonuses that you can still get in the game. My suggestion is to just stay with a standard edition of Dishonored instead.
