Personally, I'd like to see a game set in the Russian Revolution, possibly starring Nikolai Orelov or another assassin who worked with him. Honestly, I would prefer the other alternative, because it would allow for a series mostly in the Russian Revolution, but with later missions during the Soviet Era. I was thinking the playable character could be a younger assassin who worked under Nikolai Orelov, and later went on to lead the Assassin order. The final mission could involve the death of Josef Stalin in 1953 (I think) which is sometimes rumored to be poisoning.

Weapons would obviously be a little different given the time period, with much more emphasis on firearms. Weapons set would include:

  • A long-arm, able to select between a rifle (Berdan, Mosin-Nagant, Lee-Enfield, etc) a shotgun (Winchester 1897, Browning Auto-5), or and SMG or automatic rifle (if it takes place only in the Revolution, the only ones available would be the Federov Avtomat and German MP-18, however, if it continues into the Soviet era, potential PPSH-41, maybe even an early model AK47). Obviously, each class would have its own strengths and weaknesses, and would have different attachment options- bayonets, extended mags, sniper scopes.
  • Handguns: Shorter range than longarms, but quicker to draw and reload, and allow you to run faster while carrying them. Include both revolvers (various Colts, Nagant M1895, British Webley etc), and semi-autos (examples include Luger P08, Mauser C96, Colt M1911, Tokarev if game continues into Soviet Era). Some can equip a suppressor.
  • Grenades: Like the bombs in Revalations, some, such as frag grenades are factory built, while others (thermite, nailbombs, tripmines, smoke, flashbangs, poison gas etc) can be crafted from explosives (i.e. dynamite, TNT, etc), components (timers, tripwires, nails etc) chemicals (thermite- sets fires, magnesium- blinding flash, mustard gas- poison gas etc) found in various locations.
  • Melee Weapons: While not as prominent due to the widespread use of firearms, they are still a part of the game, and can still come in useful for silently dispatching guards. Examples include the ubiquitous hidden blade, as well as a combat knives, trench knives, trench clubs, cavalry sabers, etc.
  • Heavy Weapons: Generally consist of light machine guns such as the Madsen, Lewis, and if continuing into the Soviet era, DP-28. Rapid fire and high power, can be deployed with bipod, but cannot be carried- dropped when you switch to another weapon. Possily anti-tank rifles as well if continuing into Soviet era.
  • Mounted Weapons: Stationary mounted heavy machine guns, artillery guns, possibly weapons mounted on tanks or armored cars. Used in a few missions.
