The USS Eldridge docked in Philadelphia Naval Shipyard

The Philadelphia Naval Shipyard was a naval shipyard in southern Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

History[edit | edit source]

On 28 October 1943, the American Assassin Boris Pash and his Templar ally John von Neumann used the USS Eldridge, which was docked in the shipyard, to conduct Project Rainbow. Using Die Glocke, an early version of the Animus, they hoped to enter the past and stop World War II by preventing Adolf Hitler's rise to power. However, Die Glocke's lead scientist Nikola Tesla was soon killed by a distraught Eddie Gorm, a former Assassin who confronted Pash. Despite some attempts, Pash could not convince Eddie to help him as Gorm committed suicide in front of Pash.[1]

Following Gorm and Tesla's deaths, Pash attempted to continue the experiment, but it was ultimately a failure, only resulting in the USS Eldridge briefly manifesting in a future state for eighteen minutes and the Apple of Eden that powered Die Glocke being damaged.[2]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Presently, the shipyard has been closed since 1995.[3]
