Helmi Berg
Helmi Berg is a Finnish woman and the ex-wife of Juhani Otso Berg.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Meeting Juhani while he was serving in the Utti Jaeger Regiment, Helmi married him, and around 2009, they had a daughter named Elina. Elina was soon diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, and the Berg family found themselves struggling to afford the aggressive medical treatments needed to keep her healthy. Juhani left the Utti Jaeger Regiment and became a mercenary to pay for Elina's treatments, but Helmi disapproved of this, and the two divorced.[1]
Following their divorce, Helmi took custody of Elina, although she still kept in contact with Juhani, who often called to check up on their daughter. In 2017, Helmi and Elina were contacted by Berg following a meeting in Quebec. After Helmi took over the call from Elina, she berated Juhani for his harshness towards Elina due to her perceived weakness and lack of English in their conversations. In return, Juhani argued that the world was a harsh place and Elina would not be a little girl forever.[2]
