Amon

Amon was a Persian farmer and the husband of Bolour.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Living in a village near Bolour's village of Kandovan, Amon married Bolour, making him the brother-in-law of Bolour's sisters Roshan and Masha. He and his wife settled down in Kandovan, where he worked as a honey farmer and had four children, although one did not survive. By 823, the family was expecting another child.[1]
While Amon and his family had a relatively happy family, his sister-in-law Masha did not have the same fate. She was married to a Mongol merchant named Bogd, who already had two older wives, and mistreated in the same way Roshan had been as well. After Masha was granted freedom thanks to Roshan's efforts with aid from Dervis, Amon and Bolour received her and accompanied her back home. Along the way, Amon was handed a pouch of garnets from a street urchin sent by Roshan, which guaranteed a small fortune to take care of his family.[1]
