Aietes
Aietes was a Thasian athlete who lived during the 5th century BCE.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Aietes met and befriended Neleus while they were both training to become Olympic athletes. In addition to training, they also spent time together, like so many of their peers, at Karpos' house. After one drunken night, Aietes wasn't really worse for wear, but Neleus had fallen ill.[1] Unaware of his friend's predicament, Aietes went about his day as usual, tending a hangover. Along the way, he met the misthios Kassandra, who had learned about the mystery surrounding the Thasian athletes.[2] Aietes told the mercenary what little he knew and directed her towards Karpos and his house, up on the hill nearby.[1]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
Aietes, a character in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares his name with a king of Colchis in Greek mythology.
One of the dialogue choices during Kassandra's conversation with him is an offer to join her crew as a lieutenant for the Adrestia. If he is recruited, he has a unique avatar.
