William Crest (died 1750s) was a notorious pirate active in the North Atlantic during the mid-18th century.
Biography[edit | edit source]
William Crest, along with his fellow pirate Joseph Reed, made a fortune attacking and raiding ships in the Atlantic during the Seven Years' War. Crest captained a Man O' War called the Cauldron which, alongside Reed's ship, the Pilgrim, was sunk by the Templar Shay Cormac's vessel, the Morrigan, during a battle between the pirates and the Royal Navy.[1]
