The Muspel Spark was an atgeir that was used by the Æsir lord Havi during his travels in Svartálfaheimr.
During his campaign against the Muspel warlord Surtr, Havi and Surtr fought one more time at Maekinn after Havi's first attempt against the warlord failed. Besting Surtr in combat, Havi dragged his corpse, stuck Surtr's sword through his head, and used the Salakar once more to finally kill him. However, he indirectly started Ragnarök in the process. After defeating Surtr, he acquired the Muspel Spark from the fight as a reward.[1]
