Ylva

Ylva was a female dwarf who lived in Gullnámar, Svartálfaheimr.

Biography

During the Muspel invasion, Ylva found herself surrounded atop a tall rock by jötnar warriors, who had transformed into their wolf forms. Fortunately, she was saved when the Æsir lord Havi killed her attackers. Ylva thanked him and informed him that the soldiers planned to meet their leader at a black beach west of Sudra Mylna. She then traveled toward Grenhellir Shelter. When she saw Havi visit later, she approached the god again and gave him a gift in gratitude for rescuing her.
