Serpent's Tree

The Serpent's Tree was a particularly tall tree at Jötunheimr. It earned its name through an event where the Æsir, while returning to their realm, came to rest beneath the tree, being followed by the three children of Loki and Angrboda: a wyrm, a pup and a child half dead. Seeing that, though young, the wyrm kept growing before their eyes, they tied it to the tree while they slept, releasing it only when morning came, whereupon they went on their way.[1]
In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's time in Jotunheim, Odin climbed the tree and used it as a viewpoint.[2]
