Loyalty to Haytham, but frustration that it took so long to find the Precusor Box? I did want to note him killing Charles, when the latter was obviously looking for his 8-year old son, but Shay might've justified it to himself as "the greater good" (isn't that what most Templars use in their defense?).

Mostly the thing that shows Shay is colder for me is that he finds it less difficult to kill Charles and seems less remorseful (also, no final rites or gestures of respect). I guess the years did that to him :P He probably doesn't regard the Assassins as "innocent" - after all, Shay's empathy extends more towards the common people, the working man, rather than nobility like Charles Dorian (I mean, he looked wealthy enough to be noble).

Shay should've gone to find himself a lady-friend after that ordeal to be honest.
