I want to know why you feel this way. The reason why I am not a fan of COD is because I feel that they don't spend any time on the games or attempt to innovate (not all the time but usually, as I will explain later). Please explain how Assassin's Creed is the same as that.
Despite how Unity may have ended up upon release, you cannot say that they didn't try to change anything or that they didn't spend any time making it. Yes, it was buggy, but this is what happens when developers try to change things. Maybe they could have spent longer polishing the game, but that doesn't mean that all their hard work should be thrown out the window.
And this is just something I want to say generally to the gaming community; many of you are very ignorant towards what people enjoy. Yes, I don't like COD much, but I still don't think they should stop making them. It doesn't affect me in any way. I don't play them, but other people do; & they have a great time doing so. As it says on my profile however, it's the fans who do get on my nerves. They try to argue that COD is really great & innovative, but they rarely make any actual valid points. And if they would just shut up & enjoy their game, I wouldn't be bothered. I think it's great that people enjoy COD. Just enjoy what makes you happy and don't ram it down our throats when there's actually nothing to say!
And something else that gets on my nerves about the gaming community is their refusal to acknowledge when a game they don't like is actually trying to change things up & innovate. For example, I'm sure many of you will disagree but I actually thought that this year's COD was quite decent based on what they tried to do. I haven't played it (because I don't enjoy it myself), but it actually is different to the other CODs & they deserve some credit for that.
People like you will never just let people enjoy what they like. You won't be happy until this franchise is pushed under the carpet. And why? Sorry... what? No reason, like I thought. You don't have to play the games. God knows why you would play something you don't like, but since you're making this judgement you must have played Unity. If the answer is no to that then what the actual fuck are you doing here? You enjoy what you like & we'll enjoy AC. END RANT.
