Augustus Charles Lennox FitzRoy, 7th Duke of Grafton (1821 – 1918) was a British Army officer and an equerry to Queen Victoria.

Biography

On 26 June 1867, Queen Victoria wrote to Augustus, thanking him for kindness in dealing with her servant John Brown. She talked about a matter involving Brown and her displeasure at his being disallowed from accompanying her to a review in Hyde Park. She invited Augustus over before lunch to discuss manners in which to avoid similar events in the future and said him that if he went to see Countess Blücher, she would be able to inform him further about the event.[1]
