It did say "there will be bears", after all. Did you know, however, Altair's grandfather, Ezio's grandfather and Connor's father were Eagles, and that is the true reason they have Eagle Vision. The Eagles/Assassins want to fight the Bear Templars because the Templar Bears stole their nest.
