Thank you Ghost127. And i agree with the recruit part so i have come up with some potential ways for the MC and Jack to be connected:

You meet him the first time on a mission and you don't like him and likewise but you eventually gain respect for one another.

Or.

Instead of meeting for the first time on a mission, he tries to kill you on a mission at the beginning of the game because you are a templar or because you see him try to kill a very high ranking tamplar(possible the grand master) and you stop it and you are trown into the whole assassin-templar war.

You can actully put the two stories together.
