You believe that it was the same Altair from the first game? if so i disagree, He just doesn't seem as wise as the Codex and Secret Crusade shown he was. He should have been arrogant in the first mission, and his way of speaking wasn't right (I don't mean his accent i just mean his words) But that is this humble AC fan's opinion. As to the accent thing, it is not a 'better software' it is just a completely different animus, Abstergo's put everything of use into the most up-to-date language, While Rebecca's just translated.
