LOL I noticed that too! The hook should only be fully extended when Ezio is climbing, or in the ziplines! Then, when Ezio performs a double assassination it should not appear at all.. and in the middle of a combat it should be half-extended has shown in those promotional artworks, therefore making Ezio able to do those cool grab counter-kill movements together with the standard double hidden blade counter-kills.. but insted they made it the same for every situation.....
